What is the Remittance Card
The Remittance Card (Orange Card), formerly known as the Kyodai Red Card, lets you send money overseas through supported ATMs. You can have one Remittance Card per beneficiary. Each card is linked to a specific beneficiary, so the money you deposit with that card is sent directly to them.
Where can I use the Remittance Card
You can use your Remittance Card (Orange Card), formerly known as the Kyodai Red Card at the following ATMs across Japan:
- Seven Bank ATMs (about 28,000 locations)
Japan Post Bank ATMs (over 32,000 locations)
Lawson Bank ATMs (over 13,000 locations, available 24 hours)
How to send money using the Remittance Card
The steps are slightly different for each ATM. Choose your ATM below and follow the steps, or watch the video.
Seven Bank ATMs
- Insert your Remittance Card.
- Select Deposit (ご入金).
- Confirm.
- Insert the cash (paper bills only).
- Confirm the amount.
- Check the transaction details.
- Select Receipt.
- Take your receipt and your card.
Japan Post Bank ATMs
- Select your language.
- Select Deposit, then Enter.
- Insert your Remittance Card.
- Select Cards issued in Japan.
- Read the information on the screen and select Enter.
- Read the confirmation and select Enter again.
- Insert the cash (paper bills only).
- Confirm the amount and select Enter.
- Take your card and your receipt.
Lawson Bank ATMs
- Select your language.
- Insert your Remittance Card.
- Select Deposit.
- Insert the cash (paper bills only).
- Confirm the amount.
- Confirm the transaction details.
- Take a photo of the deposit details.
- Confirm.
- Take your card.
Lawson Bank ATMs may be temporarily unavailable during maintenance.
Once you complete the deposit, your transfer is processed automatically and sent to the beneficiary registered on your card.
Fees
- A remittance fee and an ATM fee apply to each transfer. Both are deducted from the amount you deposit.
- Remittance fees vary by destination country.

Important information
The Remittance Card can only be used to send money to the beneficiary linked to that card.
Only the cardholder can use the card, and the cardholder must be a registered Kyodai Remittance customer.
The sent amount will be deducted by the remittance fee and the ATM usage fee.
Sending limits may vary depending on the destination country.
Coins are not accepted at ATMs; only paper bills can be deposited.
If your card is lost, stolen, or damaged, contact Kyodai Remittance customer support immediately.
