Why update your ID?
Keeping your identification document up to date ensures your Kyodai Remittance account remains valid and compliant with regulations. You can update your ID if your existing document has expired, changed, or was incorrect when first submitted.
Ways to update your ID
You have three easy methods to update your identification document with Kyodai Remittance:
1. Update through the Kyodai app
Open the Kyodai Remittance app on your phone.
Follow the in-app instructions to upload your updated ID document.
Be sure to upload clear photos of both the front and back of your ID, even if one side is blank.
This is usually the quickest way to submit updated ID information.
2. Email your ID document
You can send a clear copy of your valid ID (front and back) by email. Use the appropriate address based on your region:
General inquiries: english@kyodai.co.jp
Bangladesh: bangla@kyodai.co.jp
Cambodia: cambodia@kyodai.co.jp
India: india@kyodai.co.jp
Pakistan: pakistan@kyodai.co.jp
Sri Lanka: lanka@kyodai.co.jp

Make sure the photos are clear and all relevant details are visible.
3. Bring your ID to a Kyodai branch or agent
You can also update your ID in person:
Visit a Kyodai Remittance branch or agent location in Japan.
Bring your valid identification document with you.
Staff will help you complete the update process.
What documents are accepted?
Valid identification documents include:
For foreign residents: Valid Residence Card with your current address
For Japanese nationals: Japanese driver’s licence with current address, or a My Number card with current address
If you submit a My Number card that displays the number, Kyodai Remittance will also treat it as a declaration of your My Number.
Tips for successful submission
Always send or upload both front and back of your ID document.
Use clear, legible photos or scans.
If you’re unsure which email to use, choose the one specific to your country or the general English address.
